J-Hook
Three-target strategy with auto-drawn entry zone and stop. Confluence-amplified for big plays.
Components
- · J-Hook algorithm (auto-drawn entry/stop/targets)
The setup
AlgoBox plots the entry zone (two green lines), a stop level, and three target levels automatically. The strategy becomes significantly more powerful when additional confluence signals — Harmonic PRZ, FibDot, or Enigma — appear near the entry zone and match its direction.
Execution
How it plays out
- Stop
- Stop level is auto-plotted based on the swing calculation.
- Targets
- · Target 1, 2, and 3 — auto-plotted, swing-size-dependent
Configuration
Knobs you can turn
- strengthOfSwing
- Controls the size and distance of the J-Hook. Higher number = larger swing size.
- calcInterval
- Default 1000ms. Adjustable.
- updateTrigger
- On Price Change, On Bar Close (default), or On Each Tick.
- displayToggles
- Text, fib lines, targets, and dots can each be shown/hidden.
Experience required
NOT recommended for AlgoBox™ users with less than 18 months experience after completing the 120-Day Training. Advanced strategy.
FAQ
Good questions.
Why the 18-month experience restriction? +
J-Hook combines automated level-drawing with discretion on which confluence signals to weight. New users tend to take every auto-drawn setup; experienced users filter by confluence. The docs explicitly flag this.
What's the 120-Day Training? +
AlgoBox's structured training program covering the full system. The J-Hook restriction assumes you've completed it and have 18+ months of real-chart experience after.
Can I trade J-Hook without confluence? +
Technically yes, but the docs are explicit: "BIG PLAYS" happen when J-Hook aligns with Harmonic PRZ, FibDot, or Enigma. Confluence-less J-Hooks are where beginners lose money.
